Order Processing

We process orders within 1-2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Pre-ordered items are processed within 1-2 business days of arrival in stock.

Successfully placed orders will receive an e-mail confirmation with the order details. If you do not receive an e-mail, please check your spam filter or contact us for confirmation.

If you need any assistance with your order, please contact us immediately at contact@chinokeinternational.com. We will not be able to make changes to your order after it has shipped.

Please review and ensure that you have entered the correct address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address that you provide. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will refund the original order (excluding the shipping fee) and ask that you re-submit your order.

NOTE: We are not responsible for shipping carrier delays.

Return Policy

Easy Return to our W.A. (Mandurah) Warehouse

We will accept returns within 60 days from the purchase date. Once we receive your parcel in our Mandurah office, your refund will be automatically issued.

Note: Due to the pandemic, some areas in Australia are locked down. This may cause the return and refund processing time to be delayed. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

 RETURNS – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Chinoke Lighting offers a full refund or exchange for change of mind purchases. You can return your purchase within 30 days. Just remember to retain your proof of purchase (receipt or website order confirmation email) as we’ll need to see it when you make your return.

Should your goods be faulty or damaged upon receipt, we’ll offer a full refund or exchange in accordance with our obligations under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (“Act”).

To the extent permitted by law, we:

  • limit our obligations and liability for the repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price of any goods;
  • We are  not liable for any contingent, consequential or punitive damages arising in any way in relation to the use of any goods
  • We are not liable for any claim, loss or expense incurred by any person resulting from the delivery, non-delivery or return of any goods.
  • Customers can return faulty goods to any Chinoke Lighting online store with their receipt, within the Warranty period for repair, replacement or refund. 
  • Where goods that are faulty have been installed, a Warranty Request Form needs to be submitted to the relevant supplier of those goods. An in home warranty claim can be lodged by completing the online Warranty Request Form. 

Please note:

  • Products may differ from those pictured on the website due to natural variations in colour/finish and scale of the image.
  • Products that have been installed cannot be returned for a ‘change of mind’ refund.

Return Methods (Option-1)

 Post Office: Return through your local Australia Post post office in over 4,400 locations, Open Mon – Sat, early until late. Australia wide flat rate at $10.52 will be deducted from your refund if the package weight is under 20kg.

Note: If you have paid 0.99AUD for the Return Guarantee, your first return label on this order will be free. For any additional return labels from the same order or if you have not paid for the Return Guarantee, you will need to cover the cost of return postage.

Return Steps

(1) Sign into your CHINOKE LIGHTING account.

(2) Find the order in My Orders, click the “Return Item” button.

(3) Select the item(s) you would like to return, indicate the reason, and submit.

(4) According to your request, a return link or a return label has been successfully obtained. Follow the return list guidelines to complete the return.

(5) Print out return label and securely tape it to the outside of your return package.

(6) Drop off at your designated Parcel point or Australia post location.

Return Conditions

Items returned must be unused, with the original packing. We do not accept returns on items that have been worn, damaged, washed or altered in any way.

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged: Low cost LED Bulbs and downlighters (below 20AUD).

Items with non-returnable marks and free gifts can’t be returned.

Note: 1.Please do not send your return to the address on your package. This is not our return address and will affect the processing of your return.

2.Please be sure to double check your returns before shipping them out. We will not be held responsible for the return of non-CHINOKE LIGHTING items.

3.If you receive a damaged/defective item, please contact CHINOKE LIGHTING customer service for assistance.

Return Methods (Option-2)

Returns of purchases made online

To receive an immediate exchange or refund, return your items to any Chinoke Lighting store within 30 days. You’ll receive a refund or an exchange at the same value as the original purchase price, excluding shipping fees if you had your order home delivered. You must present a copy of your website order confirmation email or receipt.

Make sure that your items are in their original packaging, haven’t been installed and are in a resalable condition.

Return by shipping

To arrange a refund or exchange by shipping the goods back to us, please email our online sales support team on info@Chinokelighting.com.au or call 0450422199 (Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm, Sat 9am – 5pm and Sun 10am – 5pm AEST).

You’ll need to cover the cost of shipping, and include your original receipt or website order confirmation email with your returned items. Make sure that your items are in their original packaging, haven’t been installed and are in a resalable condition.

Shipped returns may take up to 14 days to process. We’ll notify you by email.

WARRANTIES – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

All our fittings have a minimum 12-month warranty, if installed by a qualified electrician (excluding globes).
Warranty period on all products starts from the date of purchase of the original product only, not when any product is repaired or replaced.

LED Downlights and Globes:

We provide a 5-year warranty on all LED downlights.

Installation Warning

Unless a product is labelled DIY (Do It Yourself), all electrical work must be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.

Additional warranty information

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The costs associated with a claim made against these warranties (i.e. postage) are to be borne by you.

These warranties constitute our entire guarantee. Except where otherwise provided by the Australian Consumer Law, all other obligations, warranties, both expressed and implied are excluded to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Making A Warranty Claim 

  • You can return faulty goods to any Chinoke Lighting online store with your receipt within the warranty period for repair, replacement or refund. 
  • If you’ve installed goods that are faulty, a Warranty Request Form needs to be submitted to the relevant supplier of those goods. You can lodge an in-home warranty claim by completing the online Warranty Request Form. 

Due to seasonally high volumes, challenges in securing trades and Covid-19 impacts, you may experience delays of several days before receiving a response. We are making every effort to respond to you as soon as possible. Please be patient and kind to our team whilst we process your warranty.

Refunds

Refund method

The refund will be processed to your CHINOKE LIGHTING wallet or the original payment account per your request. If you have not chosen where to receive your refund, the refund will be refunded to your CHINOKE LIGHTING wallet.

Refund process time

Returns are processed within 5 business days after we receive your package. This is an estimated timeframe to accommodate current situations, most refunds will be processed before this.

A) If you have chosen CHINOKE LIGHTING wallet refund, it will be refunded within 24 hours. Wallet balances can be used on your next purchase or be withdrawn to your original payment account.

B) If you have chosen original payment account, it will be refunded within 1-2 working days for After pay ; 1-5 working days for PayPal ; 7-14 working days for Card Payment.

Depending on the processing time of the platform/bank.

Once your refund has been issued, you will receive a confirmation email.

Note: The original shipping fee and insurance are non-refundable.

NOTE: If you have any issues with your return, you must contact Customer Support within 90 days after your order was first placed.
